An interesting article on Salon.com about what's happening to e-book prices now that publishers are setting the prices and not Amazon. The author also comments on some of the current cons of ebooks versus paper books.
Thanks for sharing this, Liz. I think the article sheds a lot of light onto the fact that many readers simply do not view e-books as having the same value or worth as paper books, given their unwillingness to pay nearly equivalent prices for e-books. I also found the following paragraph to be very interesting.
"The kinds of books I download for my Kindle (more accurately, my Kindle reader on my Android phone) fall generally under the casual entertainment category. I buy a Kindle book the way I buy a movie ticket — for books, like most movies, that I'll read or watch once and forget about. A physical book is more like a DVD -- something I want to own and enjoy again and again."
